For Respondent : Mr.S.Ravi, Additional Public Prosecutor ORDER: The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) of 1/4
Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and Section 275, 123, 111(2)(b) of BNS, 2023, in Crime No.670 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that on 25.12.2025, the petitioner was found in possession of 1.100 kg of ganja and 22 strips Tapetadol Tablets (100mg). Hence, the respondent police registered a case against the accused for the aforesaid offences. Hence, this petition. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that false case has been foisted against him and he has not involved in any occurrence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he seeks anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondent vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner stating that he has 14 previous cases. Among them, 5 cases are similar in nature and the investigation is in a nascent stage 2/4

Considering the alleged involvement of the petitioner in the alleged occurrence and also considering the facts that the petitioner is having 14 previous cases and the investigation is in a nascent stage, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 11.03.2026 dss To
