4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner as well as his wife have submitted a deletion certificate to the authorities for getting ration card. More
than one year had elapsed since the date of application of the petitioner. Sofar, no action has been taken by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition.
5. The learned Govt.Advocate would submit that the application of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.
6. It is seen from the typed set of papers, that the petitioner has applied properly after getting deletion certificate from the authorities concerned. Inspite of it, the ration card has not been issued by the respondents. The ration card is one of the important documents through which the subsidized rations are being supplied by the Government to the needy people. In such type of matters, there may not be much delay in considering the request of an applicant. In view of the limited scope of the prayer and it is for the issuance of a Family Card to the petitioner, the third respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner dated 10.06.2014, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
