ORDER

The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to second respondent to file the final report in Crime No.73 of 2016 before the concerned Magistrate Court, Vilathikulam within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.The offences alleged are under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506 (i) of IPC. The offence is of the year 2016. Though the occurrence took place on 27.03.2016, the respondent police has not taken any positive steps to file a final report before the concerned Court till date. Hence, the petitioner filed the present petition before this Court.

3.Heard the learned counsel on either side.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.5922 of 2021 the respondents, on instructions, would contend that the investigation in Crime No.73 of 2016 is completed and draft charge sheet is also made ready and it is going to be presented before the concerned Court at any time.

5.Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), the second respondent is directed to file the final report in Crime No.73 of 2016 before the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Vilathikulam, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
