ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the third respondent to allow the petitioner to pursue her Ph.D., research in Bio-Chemistry (Science) continuously in Bharathidasan University, Palgalai Perur, Trichy, by considering her representation, dated 25.01.2020. 2.Heard Mr.T.Lenin Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.C.M.Marichelliah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first and the second respondents and Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent.

3.According to the petitioner, she was qualified to pursue Ph.D., research in Bio-Chemistry Department in the third respondent's University. While so, one Jeyachandran, who is an Assistant Professor of Bio-Informatics, was her guide and attempted to engage in sexually abusive and misbehaved with the petitioner, for which, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the Vice Chancellor, on 25.01.2020. That complaint was enquired by the internal complaints committee. Thereafter, she lodged a complaint before the Superintendent of Police, Trichy and the same was forwarded to All Women Police Station, Thiruverumbur. Pursuant to which, a case has been registered in Crime No.6 of 2020 for the offence under Section 354-A IPC and the same is pending for investigation. Now, the third respondent was not allowed the petitioner to pursue her Ph.D.

, research in Bio-Chemistry (Science) in the aforesaid University. Therefore, she made a representation on 17.03.2020 to the first respondent to pursue her Ph.D., research in Bio-Chemistry (Science) in the aforesaid University. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the petitioner is before this Court.

4.Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2020 will be considered and the final decision will be communicated to the petitioner within the time to be stipulated by this Court.

5.In view of the aforesaid submissions of the parties concerned, this Court is inclined to direct the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2020 and to take appropriate decision on merits and the same shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any additional representation is made by the petitioner, the same shall be submitted to the respondents within two days from the date of receipt of the order.

6.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
