O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent/Police to file final report in Crime No.926 of 2014 within time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. On the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case was registered by the C-3, S.S.Colony Police in Crime No.926 of 2014 for the offence under Sections 120(b), 406, 468 and 471 of I.P.C., and the case was transferred for further investigation to the respondent police.

4. Though the documents in relation to the offence have been produced by the petitioner himself, the Charge Sheet is yet to be

filed and the delay is not explained properly. Even though the respondent has filed a Status Report, this Court is convinced that the delay is not properly explained. The report ought to have been filed in this case as early as possible.

5. Having regard to the nature of the complaint and the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.926 of 2014 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
