Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose the petitioner's appeal dated 15.02.2024 filed under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.

2. The petitioner is a senior citizen. He has filed an appeal before the first respondent.

3.The first respondent is directed to dispose of the petition mentioned appeal on merits and in accordance with law within a period 2/4

of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent will put the respondents 3 and 4 on notice before passing final order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.

4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
