O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to expedite the investigation in Crime No.16 of 2020, dated 04.01.2020 and file the final report within the time as may be fixed by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that based on the complaint presented by the petitioner before the Judicial Magistrate No.5, Madurai, the second respondent police had registered a case in Crime No.16 of 2020 for the offences under Sections 420, 406, 441 and 506(i) of IPC. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that after registration of the case, the second respondent did not initiate any enquiry till now. Hence, appropriate order is necessary to the second respondent for completing the investigation.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the value of the cheated amount is Rs.44,00,000/-. Now the first respondent is taking steps to transfer the petition mentioned case https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.7061 of 2020 to the City Crime Branch, Madurai for further investigation. 4.The submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded.

5.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. However, the first respondent is directed to transfer the FIR to the City Crime Branch, Madurai, within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
