This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.37 of 2016, dated 09.03.2016 pending on his file and to lay the final report within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even after a lapse of more than eight months from the date of registration of the case, the first respondent did not take any efforts to file the final report. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, would submit that the respondent requires six months time to complete the investigation and to file the final report in Crime No.37 of 2016.
5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to complete the investigation and to file the final report in Crime No.37 of 2016 before the Court concerned within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
