PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to conduct enquiry based on the petitioner's representation, dated 13.03.2025 and consequently, direct the third respondent to provide adequate protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members on 11.04.2025 for offering prayers on the Sri Mannudaya Ayyanar, Srii Karuppar and Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 13.03.2025. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to conduct enquiry based on the petitioner's representation, dated 13.03.2025 and consequently, direct the third respondent to provide adequate protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members on 11.04.2025 for offering prayers on the Sri 2/6

Mannudaya Ayyanar, Srii Karuppar and Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 13.03.2025. 2.According to the petitioner, he along with other villagers constructed a temple house adjacent to Sri Mannudaya Ayyanar, Sri Karuppar and Sri Bathrakali Amman Temple and an inscription was fixed by including the names of the contributors, in which, the petitioner's name was also included. Thereafter, the petitioner's name was removed from the inscription and replaced with another name. Then, Hundi of the said temple was broken and another gate lock was fixed in the temple gate. In the mean time, the petitioner has approached the fifth respondent regarding the changes and requested to open the gate for offering prayers but he avoided to provide the key.

Thereafter, he came to know that the fourth respondent along with the respondent 5 to 8 excommunicated the petitioner and his family members from worshiping the temple. Therefore, the petitioner sent the representation dated 13.03.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition. 3.

and an enquiry will be conducted and dispose of within a period of fifteen days.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that based on the petitioner's representation C.S.R.No.64 of 2025 was assigned and the respondent police also requested the first respondent to conduct a peace meeting. Hence, appropriate steps will be taken in accordance with law. 5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court, without even issuing notice to the private respondents, is inclined to pass order.

6.Since the prayer of the petitioner is to consider his representation and the same is pending before the respondents 1 to 3, they are directed to conduct enquiry upon the petitioner's representation and pass orders, within a period of fifteen days from the date of this order, in accordance with law.
