ORDER
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.R.Janarthanam, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent. By consent, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.
2.The prayer in the writ petition is to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2015 to receive house tax and to issue tax receipt in the petitioner's name relating to his house with land in door No.2/42-A comprised in S.No.309/112, west street, K.Chidambarapuram village, Kovilpatti Taluk, Tuticorin District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.According to the petitioner, he is paying house tax from the year 1991 in his name. However, the respondents 4 and 5 refused to receive the house tax and issue receipt for the same. Hence, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation along with necessary supporting documents dated 21.04.2015 to the respondents requesting them to receive house tax. Since no fruitful results are forthcoming, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by filing this writ petition for the relief stated supra.
4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any opinion on the merits and contentions raised by the petitioner, the authorities are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.04.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
