ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to take necessary action against the accused by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2025 within the time limit fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had lodged a complaint against one Ratnavel Pandian, stated to be a member of a political party, in connection with a job racketing, wherein the petitioner's friend, namely Rajkumar, along with several other victims, had been cheated to an extent amounting to Rs. 26,30,000/-. However, there has been no progress in the investigation, and hence, the present petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that the complaint was received by the jurisdictional police only on 11.03.2026 and that a proper inquiry would be conducted.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials before this Court.

In view of the above, the third respondent police is directed to conclude the enquiry with regard to the complaint received against by the petitioner, after issuing summons to the parties concerned, under Section 64 of the BNSS, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent is directed to monitor the investigation being conducted by the third respondent. Further, the third respondent is also directed to appraise the progress of the investigation to the second respondent on every Friday.
