PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, 2023, to issue a direction to the 2nd Respondent to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.03.2026 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. For Petitioner : M/s.S.M.Mohan Gandhi For Respondents : Mr.A.Albert James Government Advocate(crl.side) for R1 & R2 1/4

ORDER

The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent police to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner based upon the representation dated 05.03.2026.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, he has received a life threat from the third respondent due to alleged business loss and therefore, he has lodged a complaint to the respondent police on 05.03.2026. However, so far no steps have been taken to provide police protection.

3. The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, submitted that despite information, the petitioner has not chosen to appear for the four occasions and therefore, they are not in a position to proceed further.

4. Considering the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent and if any case is made out, the official respondents are directed to give adequate police protection to the petitioner. 2/4

5. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
