This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the 1/4
records pursuant to the proceedings in Charge Sheet No.459 of 2017 taken on file in C.C.No.242 of 2018 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Melur and quash the same.
2. Even though this Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a larger relief, today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners restricted his prayer to dispense with the personal appearance of the petitioners before the trial Court and seeks early disposal of the proceeding in C.C.No.242 of 2018 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Melur.
3. Taking into consideration of the request as made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the appearance of the petitioners before the trial court is dispensed with except for their appearance for the purpose of receiving the copy of the proceedings u/s 207 Cr.P.C., framing of charges, questioning under Section 313 Cr.P.C. and on the day on which judgment is to be pronounced. However, if for any particular reason, the presence of the petitioners are necessary, the trial court, at its wisdom, shall direct those appearance on those days. The learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur is directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No. 242 of 2018 pending on its file within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
