ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the 1st to 3rd Respondents to file the Final Report in Crime No. 228/2022 dated 10.07.2022 on the file of Theni Police, within a stipulated time.
2.The petitioner is the complainant in Crime No.228 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 448, 294(b), 324 and 506(i) of IPC and Section 4 of TNPHWA, 2002 and r/w Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Charging Exorbitant Interest Act, 2003 and now the grievance of the petitioner is that, even after 2/5
lapse of eight months, investigation has not been completed and final report filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.228 of 2022 and that the investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks three months time to file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.
4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.228 of 2022 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
