PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.31 of 2023 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) of TNCS (RDCS) order 1982 r/w Section 7(1)a(ii) of EC Act 1955 in Crime No.31 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused illegally transported 800 kgs of rice, which was meant for public distribution system. Hence, the case. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner is having three previous cases, which are similar in nature.

CRL OP(MD)No.5643 of 2023 5.In view of the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
