PRAYER: Criminal Original petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, to direct the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner from the 3rd respondent and his henchmen.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner from the 3rd respondent and his henchmen.
2. According to the petitioner, he borrowed money from the 3rd respondent and thereafter, the entire amount was settled. However, the 3rd respondent has demanded an exorbitant interest and thereby harassing the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation to the 1st respondent on 17.03.2025 for police protection, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents no.1 and 2 would submit that they have not received any representation from the petitioner and even according to the petitioner, he sent the complaint through postal. So far they have not received any complaint.
4. The prayer of the petitioner is to provide police protection from the 3rd respondent, and according to the petitioner, he sent a 2/4
representation on 17.03.2025, but the 2nd respondent so far not received the complaint. Therefore, at this stage, it is appropriate to direct the petitioner to serve a copy of the complaint to the 2nd respondent and thereafter, the 2nd respondent has to take appropriate decision within a week.
