PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondents 1 and 3 to give adequate police protection to the petitioner/the senior citizen life and limb and his property by his complaint dated 05.04.2022.

For petitioner : Mr.C.Winston Rajappa For R-1 to R-3 : Mr.S.Manikandan Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to provide police protection to the petitioner and his property, by considering his complaint dated 05.04.2022.

2. The case of the petitioner is that in order to grab the property from the petitioner, the respondents 5 and 6, who are the relatives of the petitioner, has started to harass the petitioner, for which, he has made a complaint before the respondent No.4. During the course of enquiry, the fourth respondent directed the petitioner to bring the key of his house and the petitioner has also given the key to the fourth respondent Police. However, the fourth respondent being hand in glove with the respondents 5 and 6, has handed over the key to them. Thereafter, the respondents 5 and 6 threatened the petitioner with dire consequences. Hence, the petitioner has made a complaint before the third respondent, however, no action was taken. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents Police submits that pursuant to the complaint given by the petitioner, FIR was registered in Crime No.160 of 2021 for the offence punishable under Sections 452, 294(b), 323 and 506(1) IPC and subsequently, investigation was conducted and the charge sheet was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nilakottai.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents Police, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the charge sheet in the manner known to law.
