O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to produce the daughter of the petitioner, namely, Shalini, aged about 24 years and set her at liberty.
2.The detenu, namely, Shalini, appeared before this Court along with her counsel Mr.V.Chandrapandi on 28.07.2020 and stated that she is doing M.Sc., 2nd year at Fathima College, Madurai and in view of closure of hostel due to Covid-19 pandemic, she is staying with her friend. It is also stated that before she could complete her studies, her parents initiated steps for her marriage. The matter stands adjourned for further consideration. 3.Today, the petitioner and the detenu are present before this Court along with their respective counsels. It is stated that in view of Covid-19 pandemic, the detenu is staying in Kulandhai Therasa Hostel, Ponmeni, Madurai and she wants to pursue her studies. The parents of the detenu has stated that till she completed her studies, they won't take any steps to proceed with her marriage.
4. In the light of the above statement, we are of the opinion that no further order is necessary in this petition and hence, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar (AS) // True Copy // / /2020 Sub Assistant Registrar(CS) 2/4
