This Criminal Original petition is filed for a direction to the respondent herein not to harass the petitioner in the name of enquiry without due process of law.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the first respondent.
3. It appears that the petitioner's wife gave a complaint to the respondent police on 04.06.2017 stating that she would not like to live with the petitioner. The petitioner's wife also alleged that her jewels should be returned to her which were given to her by her parents at the time of marriage. It is stated by the petitioner that the petitioner appeared before the respondent police on several occasions and the petitioner is compelled to return back the jewels to his wife or else a false case which will be filed against the petitioner and his family. 4. The learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) on instructions further submitted that there is no harassment and the respondent police is only trying to mediate for the union of the petitioner and his wife.
5. Recording the statement of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), the Criminal Original petition is closed with an observation that the petitioner shall not be harassed unnecessarily and liberty is given to the parties concerned to approach appropriate forum for necessary reliefs as stated supra.
