PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to take appropriate steps for acquiring the two meter length of land for put up a road connecting Main Road, Vadakku Vambakollai, Pudukkottai Ullur Panchayat, Pattukkottai Taluk, Thanjavur District based on the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2023.

************ [Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to take appropriate steps for acquiring the two meter length of land for put up a road connecting Main Road, Vadakku Vambakollai, Pudukkottai Ullur Panchayat, Pattukkottai Taluk, Thanjavur District based on the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2023.

2.Heard Mr.M.Ramu, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader for the respondents.

3.The petitioner has made a representation on 24.02.2023 to the respondents seeking to acquire the two meter length of land in Pudukkottai Ullur Panchayat. Since, the said representation is still pending consideration, the petitioner has preferred the present Writ Petition.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent District Collector to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.02.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity to the parties concerned. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
