..Respondents PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to grant permission to perform the program of 'Adal Padal' on 13.06.2018 night at about 07.00 p.m., to 12.00 p.m., in connection with temple festival at Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman, Mariamman, Bhagavathiamman Thirukkovil situated at Sanipatti, Palayam Post, Vedachandur Taluk, Dindigul District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2018. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission to perform the program of 'Adal Padal' on 13.06.2018 night at about 07.00 p.m., to 12.00 p.m., in connection with temple festival at Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman, Mariamman, Bhagavathiamman Thirukkovil situated at Sanipatti, Palayam Post, Vedachandur Taluk, Dindigul District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner has not mentioned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

in the representation as he is the President of the Festival Committee of the temple. The petitioner made his representation to the respondents as an individual capacity. Therefore, the prayer sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition cannot be granted. Hence, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed as not maintainable.

4.In the result, this writ petition is dismissed as not maintainable. No costs. However, liberty is given to the concerned President or organizer or representative of the Festival Committee to make a fresh representation to the respondents, if so advised.
