PRAYER: Writ Original Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the program of Adal Padal on 27.06.2018 night at about 07.00 P.M., to 12.00 A.M., performing by the "Madurai Bad Boys" in connection with temple Festival at Arulmigu Sri Venkadachalapathy Thirukkovil is situated at Sadaiyampatti - 623 203, Sathur Taluk, Virudhunagar District and to provide adequate police protection based on petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2018.

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission to perform the program of Adal Padal on 27.06.2018 night at about 07.00 P.M., to 12.00 A.M., performing by the "Madurai Bad Boys" in connection with temple Festival at Arulmigu Sri Venkadachalapathy Thirukkovil is situated at Sadaiyampatti - 623 203, Sathur Taluk, Virudhunagar District and to provide adequate police protection based on petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner has not mentioned in the representation as he is the President of the Festival Committee of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the temple. Instead of, he has mentioned in the representation that he is "Poruppalar". Therefore, the prayer sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition cannot be granted. Hence, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed as not maintainable. 4.In the result, this writ petition is dismissed as not maintainable. No costs. However, liberty is given to the concerned President or organizer or representative of the Festival Committee to make a fresh representation to the respondents, if so advised.
