ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the third respondent to issue a corrected death certificate in the original name of the petitioner's mother, namely, Balambal, instead of Kamalam based on the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2022 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, in the death certificate issued for the petitioner's mother, her name has been wrongly mentioned as Kamalam.A, whereas, her correct name is Balambal. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. The petitioner has produced records along with this Writ Petition to show that the correct name of the petitioner's mother is Balambal. It is for the respondents to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law. The petitioner has given a representation on 07.04.2022 to the respondents seeking for correction of her mother's name in the death certificate of her mother.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2022 seeking for correction of the name of her mother in the death certificate as Balambal instead of Kamalam and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
