Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus calling for the entire records, pertaining to the Impugned Detention Order passed by the second respondent made in her proceedings in Prevention Detention Order No.50 of 2020 dated 27.05.2020 by detaining the detenu under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14/1982 as Boot Legger and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu namely, Murugan @ Murugesan, S/o.Mayavu, aged about 38 years, who is detained in Central Prison, Trichy before this Court and set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the wife of the detenu, namely, Murugan @ Murugesan, son of Mayavu, aged about 38 years, challenging the detention order in P.D.No.50 of 2020, dated 27.05.2020, passed by the second respondent, branding him as "BOOT LEGGER" as contemplated under Section 2(b) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

H.C.P.(MD) No.414 of 2020 Public Prosecutor for the respondents, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.3085, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XIV) Department, dated 23.07.2020, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked.

3. Recording the above submission, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
