O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to conduct a speedy investigation and file a final report before the concerned Judicial Magistrate in connection with Crime No.07 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police, within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even after a lapse 2 1⁄2 years from the date of registration of the case, the respondent did not take any efforts to file the final report. Hence, the petitioner has come up with this petition for the aforesaid prayer.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, would submit that the respondent requires six months time to complete the investigation and to file the final report in Crime No.07 of 2014.

5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and to file the final report in Crime No.07 of 2014 before the Court concerned within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
