This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the first respondent to appoint the petitioner as a guardian to the petitioner's mentally illness mother, viz.,Velthai.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the representation submitted by the petitioner, after giving an opportunity to the petitioner and the counter parties, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed of.
