ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to cancel the acquisition notification issued through SIPCOT in respect of the petitioner's land comprised in Survey No.556/2, Patta No.957, situated at Sittharsathiram Village, Manur Taluk, Tirunelveli District, measuring an extent of 3 Acres and 50 Cents.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the land had already been acquired on 26.09.2022 and that an award had also been passed.

3. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of, leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the competent authority to claim compensation, if the petitioner is so entitled. No costs. NCC : Yes / No (K.SURENDER, J.) Index : Yes / No 27.01.2026 smn2
