O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to instruct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner on the basis of the representation, dated 05.06.2018.

2.According to the petitioner, he has five daughters and one of his daughters, viz., Sumathi and her husband Maranadu demanded money from the petitioner. Subsequently, he was attacked by the said Maranadu. On the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case was registered by the second respondent against them and the same is pending. As a counter-blast, the said Sumathi has given a false complaint against the petitioner making false allegations against him. Based on the said complaint, the petitioner was called for enquiry and the harassed by one SubInspector of Police attached to the police station. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court with the present Criminal Original Petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner was asked to appear for enquiry and if the enquiry reveals that there is no cognizable offence made out, the further proceedings would be dropped. If the enquiry reveals that there is cognizable offence made out, the respondent will register the case and proceed in accordance with law. Till the enquiry is concluded, the petitioner shall not be harassed by the respondent police. 4.Recording the above said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner till the enquiry is concluded.
