ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to remove the encroachments made by respondents 2 to 5 on Nethaji Subash Chandra Bose (NBS) Road, Block No.33, Ward N, Trichy District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.08.2025.

2.By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/5

3.Mr. R. Baskaran, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, notice to respondents 2 to 5 is dispensed with. 4.The contention of the petitioner is that the respondents 2 to 5 have encroached upon the public pathway by putting up shops. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 19.08.2025 before the authority concerned. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. 5.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that action has already been initiated under the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014, and separate places have been earmarked for the encroachers. He further submitted that the encroachments will be removed on or before 25.03.2026. He also submitted that the learned Single Judge of this Court, in W.P.(MD) No.32415 of 2025, dated 05.01.2026, has already 3/5

directed the eviction of the encroachers and has directed that the eviction shall be completed on or before 25.03.2026. The statement is recorded. 6.In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the authority concerned to evict the encroachers, as undertaken before this Court and as directed in W.P.(MD)No.32415 of 2025, dated 05.01.2026, on or before 25.03.2026.
