This petition is filed seeking a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 15.10.2016.

2. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions, would submit that the petitioner appeared before the respondent police and made a submission that the dispute between the parties was settled amicably before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench. The petitioner also made a representation stating that there is no need to take further action on his complaint. Thereafter the said complaint was closed. He also produced a copy of the said representation. The Mediation report was also produced before this Court.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
