The prayer in the Writ Petition has become infructuous, in view of the fact that the date for conducting Vaigasai Car Festival for the Sedal Mariamman Temple which is situated at Beema Nagar, Trichy, Trichy District has already been lapsed. As such it would not be appropriate to direct the respondents to consider his representation.

2. Nevertheless, if the petitioner is still in aggrieved when his name has not been considered for grant of Pattayadharar rights, it is always open to him to make a fresh representation in accordance with law.
3. With the above observation, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
