PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to rectify the mistake crept in the revenue records ie., in Joint Patta No. 1535 and FMB with regard to exact measurement and issue corrected joint patta with an extent of 1 acre 33 cents (0.54 hectares) instead of 0.42.50 hectares (1.04 cents) in respect of property comprised in S.No.256/4 at Samugarengapuram Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 04.11.2024 and 03.03.2025. The petitioners seek issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to rectify the mistake that has crept in the revenue records. The grievance of the petitioner is that the shortage of 29 cents has to be corrected in the revenue records and in this regard, he has sent representations dated 04.11.2024 and 03.03.2025. However, no steps have been taken by the respondents. 2/5

2.Considering the scope of the Writ Petition, it would suffice to dispose of the Writ Petition, directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 04.11.2024 and 03.03.2025, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
