Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to rectify the pay anomaly and to step up the petitioner's pay on par with his junior Mr.C.Kumara Pillai (EDP No.2269) with effect from 01.11.2016 with arrears and consequently to revise his monthly pension by revising his last drawn salary with arrears of pension with interest for the belated payment.

The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to rectify the pay anomaly and to step up the petitioner's pay on par https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

with his junior Mr.C.Kumara Pillai (EDP No.2269) with effect from 01.11.2016 with arrears and consequently to revise his monthly pension by revising his last drawn salary with arrears of pension with interest for the belated payment.

2. The learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner dated 09.07.2018 is disposed of on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the Authority concerned is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 09.07.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, and pass appropriate orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there are no legal impediments.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
