ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Government Advocate who takes notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage. 2.The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondent to issue family ration card to the petitioner. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he has applied for issuance of a family ration card as early as on 02.12.2013, till this date, the same is not issued. 4.Therefore, it is for the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.

5.Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of only with a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.12.2013 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
