This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner without due process of law.

2. Heard Mr.M.R.Sreenivasan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Anbarasan, learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submits that a complaint was received from one Durgadevi alleging that the petitioner had some relationship with her and he has cheated her. However, the petitioner has not impleaded the said Durgadevi, who has given a complaint against the petitioner herein.

4. The petitioner states that his marriage was arranged with one Sangeetha and that only to dissolve the marriage, the said Durgadevi gave a false complaint before the respondent police against the petitioner and that the respondent police is harassing https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

5. The respondent police undertakes that if the presence of the petitioner is required for any enquiry, it shall be done only after issuing summons prescribing date and time and in the manner prescribed in law.
