Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 19.04.2018 for appointment under compassionate ground. ************ [Order of the Court was made by K.RAVICHANDRABAABU, J.] The petitioner seeks for Mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation, dated 19.04.2018, wherein and whereby he sought for appointment on compassionate ground. 2.It is stated that the petitioner's father, while in service, died on 29.11.2011 in harness. According to the petitioner, he became major at a latter point of time and therefore, he made an application seeking for compassionate appointment.

3.Though a counter affidavit is filed by the second respondent explaining various facts and circumstances with regard to the claim of the petitioner seeking for compassionate appointment, the fact remains that the application filed by the petitioner, has not been disposed of so far by the second respondent by passing any order. Needless to say that the said application filed by the petitioner has to be considered and an order on merits has to be passed and communicated to the petitioner.

Since this writ petition itself is filed seeking for Mandamus to consider the application of the petitioner, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as well as the contentions raised by the second respondent in the counter affidavit, we only direct the second respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's representation, dated 19.04.2018 on merits and in accordance with law and communicate the same to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this orders. 4.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
