O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying this Court to expedite the disposal of the case pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kodaikanal in C.C.No.146 of 2015, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent-Police and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3.It is represented that though the case was registered in the year 2015 and taken on file in the same year, it is yet to be disposed of.

4.Having regard to the nature of the dispute and the offence involved, this Court is of the view that the Court below may be directed to dispose of the case within the time limit fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the above, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kodaikanal is directed to conclude the trial in C.C.No.146 of 2015 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondent-Police is also directed to cooperate with the Court in complying with the direction of this Court.

6.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
