O R D E R

The petitioner seeks issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to issue patta to an extent of 2448 sq.ft in respect of his lands comprised in Survey Nos.190/2, New Survey No.190/38, present New Survey No.190/40.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the official respondents.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that the 4th respondent has already enquired into the matter and forwarded the record to the 2nd respondent and that the 2nd respondent is in the process of passing orders on the petitioner's application. He would further submit that elaborate procedure has been set out for consideration of patta applications by circular, dated 27.08.2024 issued by Commissioner of Land Administration. Hence, he submit that for complying the orders, sufficient time will have to be granted. 2/4

4. Recording the submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, the 2nd respondent is directed to pass final orders based on the petitioner's application, dated 13.11.2024 within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
