O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 & 2.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the respondent police frequently called the petitioners to the Police Station and harassed them under the guise of enquiry in respect of a civil dispute.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on instructions, would submit that the petitioners were called only for enquiry in respect of a petition pending against them and that the respondent Police did not cause any harassment to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioners. However, he gave an undertaking that if at all the presence of the petitioners are required, the respondent police would call the petitioners for enquiry only after issuing summons giving specific date, time and place and if the petitioners cooperate for enquiry, the enquiry will be completed within a period of two weeks.

5. Recording the undertaking given by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed. In the meantime, the respondent police shall not harass the petitioners.
