This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to direct the respondent to register the case against the accused on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 17.03.2016 within a period of stipulated time.

2. The learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side), on instructions, would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 17.03.2016, a case in Crime No.238 of 2016 was registered by the respondent for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of Indian Penal Code.

3. In view of the above stated position, the respondent is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.238 of 2016 and file a final report in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

4. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
