This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the second respondent to complete the investigation and to file final report in Crime No.108 of 2006, dated 21.02.2006 within a time frame.

Heard Mr.N.Karthik Kanna, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Anbarasan, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents and perused the records. 3.Based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case was registered in Crime No. 108 of 2006 at Koodal Pudhur Police Station, for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420 and 467 of IPC. Subsequently, eventhough there was a direction of this Court to file the final report as expeditiously as possible, there was an alteration in the territorial jurisdiction of the police station. Hence, the First Information Report in Crime No.108 of 2006 was transferred to Alanganallur Police Station. However, there was no https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
progress in the investigation. In the said circumstances, the present petition is filed.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on instructions, would submit that if a reasonable time is given, the second respondent police will be in a position to file final report. 5.Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents, this Court directs the second respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.108 of 2006 and to file the final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
