This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the second respondent to file the final report in Crime No.299 of 2016 dated 22.06.2016 and proceed with the same as per law within a time frame.

2. Heard Mr.R.Venkatesan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Anbarasan, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents and perused the records. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the complaint was registered on 20.05.2017 in Crime No.244 of 2015, for the offences under Sections 279 and 337 IPC., on the file of the respondent police, there was no progress in the investigation and final report was also not filed.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on instructions, would submit that after investigation, the case was closed as 'mistake of fact' on 23.06.2016.
