This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction, directing the respondent to register a case on the complaint dated 13.09.2016.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), on instructions, would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 13.09.2016, a case in Crime No.591 of 2016 was registered by the respondent for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 448, 294 (b), 427 and 506(ii) of Indian Penal Code and section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

3. In view of the above stated position, the respondent is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.591 of 2016 and file a final report in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

4. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
