Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant patta to the petitioners properties in Survey Nos.38/1 38/3 39/2 39/8 41/5 56/3B 69/3 39/24 in Kuruthur Village Appanthiruppathi Firka Madurai District by considering their application dated 13.11.14. For Petitioners : Mr.M.Mohamed Sherbudeen For Respondent : Mr.S.Chandrasekar Government Advocate.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Government Advocate who takes notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.The petitioners sought for a Mandamus directing the respondent to grant patta to the petitioners in Survey Nos.38/1 38/3 39/2 39/8 41/5 56/3B 69/3 39/24 in Kuruthur Village Appanthiruppathi Firka, Madurai District.

3.The grievance of the petitioners is that even though they have made an application before the respondent on 13.11.2014 for grant of patta, the respondent has not passed an order so far. 4.Considering the above facts and circumstances and without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, this Court only directs the respondent to consider the application of the petitioners dated 13.11.2014 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
