Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

2. By consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for disposal.

The petitioner made a representation on 13.10.2014 to the respondents to implement the Building and other Construction workers (Regulation of Employment and conditions of service) Act 1996 and the Building and other construction Workers Welfare Cess Act 1996 (28 of 1996) in the Tamil Nadu Sate in view of the direction of the Honourable Apex Court in National Campaign Committee for Central Legislation on Construction Labour V. Union of India and others. But the same has not been considered so far.

4. Taking note of the fact that the petitioners' representation is pending consideration with the respondents, the respondents are directed to pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
