ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide electricity connection to the petitioner's agricultural land comprised in Survey No.193 of Soundarapandiyapuram Village, Rathapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District, within a stipulated time.

2. Mr.G.Kasinatha Durai, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up final disposal.

4. Though very many contentions have been raised in this Writ Petition, at the time of hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that if a direction is given to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 24.07.2015, which was given to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

provide electricity connection to the petitioner's agricultural land comprised in Survey No.193 of Soundarapandiyapuram Village, Rathapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District, that would suffice. The learned counsel further submitted that the petitioner has also deposited a sum of Rs.1,20,815/- as pre-deposit for electricity service connection.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.07.2015, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
