Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to remove the encroachments under the Oorani at T.S.No.2, GRS No.287/73 and T.S.No.57, GRS No.287/915 at Ramanathapuram Town by considering the representation dated 25.08.2014.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner, claiming to be a public spirited person, has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to remove the encroachments under the Oorani at T.S.No.2, GRS No.287/73 and T.S.No.57, GRS No.287/915 at Ramanathapuram Town.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 and we have also perused the records carefully.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that 7 known persons have encroached upon the portion of Oorani and they have constructed small huts. But those 7 persons have not been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

impleaded as a parties. Without affording opportunity to them, it is not possible for this Court to issue any direction as prayed for in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.
