ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.] By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2.The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to conduct survey based on caste in Tamil Nadu for the purpose of job reservation and to implement the G.O.(Ms)No.99, dated 21.12.2020, based on his representation dated 10.02.2023.

3.After going through the affidavit filed in support of this petition, we are of the view that conduct of survey based on caste-wise is within the purview of the Central Government, in which, the State Government cannot do anything. Moreover, the issue in this regard is already pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court in S.L.P.(C)No.16942 of 2023.

4.In view of the above, we are not inclined to entertain this Writ Petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. [J.N.B., J.] & [S.S.Y., J.] 21.03.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Yuva To 1.The Chief Secretary, Secretariat, Fort St.George, Chennai.
