Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the offence punishable under Sections 406 and 506(i) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act in Crime No.10 of 2016 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the de facto complainant lodged a complaint before the respondent police stating that one Karthikeyan and his relatives misappropriated the jewels of the de facto complainant and threatened her with dire consequences. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is a friend of the said Karthikeyan and his friend requested him to sign in the marriage registration as a witness. The main accused and other accused were already granted anticipatory bail in Crl.O.P.No.16071 of 2016 on 08.09.2016. Now, the respondent police sent a summon under Section 160 of Cr.P.C. to the petitioner, hence he apprehend arrest and file this petition.

was not arrayed as an accused in this case, the alleged threat of arrest does not arise.
