This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a final report/ Charge sheet in Crime No.256 of 2016, dated 26.06.2016, within the period stipulated by this court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) on instructions, would submit that the case in Crime No.256 of 2016, dated 26.06.2016, on the file of the Silaiman Police Station, Silaiman, Madurai District was transferred to K.Pudur Police Station, Madurai City and registered as Crime No.85 of 2017 on 27.01.2017, for the offences under Sections 406, 420 and 506(i) IPC., against the accused persons.

4. Since the case is now pending before K.Pudur Police Station, Madurai City, no direction can be given to the present respondent. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
